Daniel Smith is a senior manager in the Assurance Services division in the Firm’s Nashville, Tennessee, office and is a member of the Firm’s Construction Industry Group. He has over 10 years of experience providing assurance and accounting services for clients in the construction industry. Clients rely on him to manage audits, reviews and other assurance engagements. Daniel provides consultation regarding contract costing, indirect cost allocations, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic planning. He also regularly assists clients in the implementation and evaluation of internal controls and with opportunities to improve bonding, licensing and prequalification capacities. Additionally, he has extensive experience working with manufacturers and retailers, employee benefit plans and not-for-profit entities.

Daniel has presented construction industry seminars within the Firm and with external parties, and regularly provides training within the firm on complex accounting issues within the construction industry. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Construction Financial Management Association, and served as the chairman of the board of a local not-for-profit.
