About Joel

Joel Weltman is a partner in the Tax & Business Services Division. He works with closely held businesses to help them increase profits and plan wisely, and also provides financial planning advice to individuals and families.

Joel strives to bring clients peace of mind. Proactive recommendations and attention to detail has earned him a reputation for excellence. He knows a reputation does not maintain itself; he continually works to improve client service.

In 2005, Joel earned his Series 65 license as an Investment Advisor Representative. In 2007, he earned the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designation awarded by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA).

Before joining Marcum, Joel was co-founder and principal at BWTP P.C.

He also worked with international and regional CPA firms before co-founding the predecessor to BWTP P.C. in 1982.

Joel is involved with the Jewish Federation and volunteers for Food Outreach.
