About Leslie

Leslie Adler is general counsel at Marcum. She manages all resources relating to internal and external legal matters involving the Firm and advises the Firm on legal matters regarding internal governance, operations, regulatory issues, and risk management. She also manages the Firm’s litigations including administrative, enforcement, and regulatory proceedings. As a senior counselor to Firm leadership, Leslie advises and works closely with Marcum’s Executive Committee regarding operations related to strategic planning, practice development, and client service.

Prior to joining Marcum in 2008, Leslie was deputy general counsel at Sterling National Bank and Sterling Resource Funding Group’s predecessor companies. Earlier in her career, she was associated with Garfunkel, Wild and Travis, focusing on real estate, corporate transactions and healthcare regulatory matters, and was a corporate/real estate associate at Skadden Arps Slate Meagher and Flom. A member of the New York State Bar, Leslie earned her Bachelor of Arts (Summa Cum Laude) from the State University of New York at Binghamton, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and her Juris Doctor (Cum Laude) from Brooklyn Law School.
